Jane Henderson | President | Member since 2004
Jane Henderson works at RBC Royal Bank as VP, Commercial Banking, GTA North in York Region. Prior to this role, she was a Marketing Manager responsible for RBC's Knowledge Based Industries commercial banking business, and was an analyst specializing in the media and telecommunications industries. Jane lives in downtown Toronto. She has a B.A. (Hons) form Queen's University, and an M.A. from McGill University in Communications.
Bruce Reynolds | Past President | Member since 2005
Bruce is a 30 plus year career banker. He is working with Mackenzie Financial Corporation as Vice President, Client Services, responsible for call centres and the web. He has worked for the Bank of Montreal and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. He has worked in Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong and Nassau, Bahamas, handling a wide variety of banking activities including branch banking, project management including systems, finance, international banking, credit cards and most recently, contact centres. Bruce also led the CIBC United Way campaign and was seconded to the United Way of Greater Toronto.
Bruce is currently working with several non-profit organizations: The Canadian Customer Contact Centre Council and Findhelp Information Services - 211.
Don Ludlow | Vice President | Member since 2008
Don Ludlow works as a Commercial Banker at RBC Royal Bank in the GTA. Previous roles at RBC include Director of Corporate Strategy and Development and Senior Manager of Strategic Planning in the Corporate Marketing Department. Prior to joining RBC in 2001, Don served as an Infantry Officer in the Canadian Army where he lead soldiers on a number of domestic and international operations and worked in both staff and training positions.
Don has an MBA from McGill University, an MSC from the London School of Economics & Political Science and a BA from the Royal Military College of Canada (Kingston). Don lives in downtown Toronto with his wife Fiona.
Anastasia Akulshyna | Treasurer | Elected 2010
Anastasia Akulshyna works at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board as an Associate Portfolio Manager in Relationship Investments, where she is responsible for developing and executing active strategies involving direct engagement with public companies. Before joining CPPIB in June 2010, Anastasia was pursuing her MBA. Prior to that, she worked for UBS, a global financial services company. Anastasia holds an MBA from Joseph L. Rotman School of Management and a BBA from University of Toronto.
Liban Gaashaan | Elected 2010
Liban is currently a Customer Operations Manager at WIND mobile. Mr. Gaashaan is responsible for transforming operational systems into real customer experiences that create a personal touch. In other words, he is a master at turning high tech into high touch.
Prior to joining Wind, he was a strategy IT consultant with Amdocs leading two large-scale implementations for a Canadian Telco. Mr. Gaashaan’s has a proven track of success in the Wireless and Technology sectors. He is passionate about creating unforgettable customer experiences by effectively using technology. He received his MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from York University.
Marvin Givertz | Member since 2007
Marv returns to the board after a hiatus of 5 years. He received his B.Comm from the U of T; his call to the bar in 1959; his Q.C., his LL.M. & his certificate of Haute Cuisine in 1978. Although he completed all the course work for another LL.M., his main areas of practice were general litigation & family law. He focused on trying to achieve reasonable settlements because of the enormous cost of civil litigation. On the personal side, he has 12 grandchildren, 3 of whom he shares with Ivan Macfarlane.
Mary Jo Walker | Member since 2007
Mary Jo Walker is currently Director, Customer Service Delivery for American Express, Canada based in Markham. Ms. Walker is responsible for Amex's network of call centers including two sites in Canada and one in India. Prior to joining Amex 4 years ago, she was General Manager of on-line banking at CIBC. Ms. Walker also has e-business consulting experience and was one of the team that launched Sympatico. Mary Jo lives in downtown Toronto. She formerly served as a board member for Boarding Homes Ministry. She has a B.A.Sc. from The University of Guelph.
Richard Joy | Member since 2008
Richard Joy works at the Toronto Board of Trade as VP Public Policy and Government Relations. Prior to this Richard was the Director of Municipal Affairs and Ontario at Global Public Affairs, a leading Canadian Government Relations firm. Richard served as the Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing in the first term of the Dalton McGuinty government and was responsible for the public policy development for the City of Toronto Act. Richard has also served as Executive Assistant to George Smitherman, MPP (as GTA Critic) and Michael Gravelle, MPP (as Community and Social Services Critic) in Opposition at Queen’s Park.
At Toronto City Hall, Richard served two City Councillors over a period that straddled the pre and post amalgamation of Metro Toronto, and has worked closely with former Mayor Barbara Hall. Richard has a BA from Carleton University.
Alice Keung, SVP Development and Delivery | Elected 2010
Alice Keung has operational responsibility for transforming eHealth Ontario from a project management organization to a service delivery organization. She previously served as the agency’s SVP, Development and Delivery. Alice is a senior executive with international experience negotiating and managing large-scale projects with more than 20 years of experience across various industries. Alice holds an MBA from John Molson School of Business at Concordia, and has twice been recognized as one of Canada’s “Top 100 Most Influential Women”. She is also a recipient of the “Award of Distinction” from Concordia University in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the worlds of both business and community.
Kris Krishnan | Elected 2010
A retired Financial Planner, Kris was a private banker for over 2 decades managing Private client relationships for banks in the Far East, as well as here in Canada. A firm believer in giving back to the community, Kris volunteers his time on the Steering committee of the Toronto City Summit Alliance and serves on the Board of Woodgreen Community Services. He has also formerly lead major trade delegations and steered the organizations growth across Canada as President of the Indo Canada Chamber Of Commerce.
